Yes, it is heartbreaking to see all of the deaths and devastation.  It is overwhelming.  Hopefully, every country that is able to, will assist in whatever way is needed or that they can.

Watching the news the last couple of days makes me happy to know that I live in such a boring country (weather wise). The worse Southern Alberta has to offer is tornados - not that those are good, but this province is so sparsely populated that the chances of causualties are slim. It's so heart breaking to watch the footage....hopefully no one is currently sitting near a phone waiting for word of a friend or loved one.
