First off, a few "Say Hellos" -

Loralee - Cool; my message made it.
Thank You So Much For Replying! :-)

Philly Kid - I see your message made it, too!

Colin - Thanks to you for your help.

Ken - Thank You for the Admit message.

OK, now for the Vg story:

Most of y'all know my mother, aka ForeignerMongerMom,
loves Heart. Anyway, she'd been really working more
hours in the past few months, so she hadn't had much
chance to hear the new album. So when we did some
shopping & bonding last month, I brought a cassette
sample of "Move On," "I Need The Rain," "I Give Up,"
"Perfect Goodbye" & "Enough."

Last weekend, we did more shopping & bonding, and I
brought along more JD tracks. She knew I was gonna
play them. As we're heading towards the freeway, the
intro to "Vainglorious" startled the heck outta her.

Not just once - Twice!

On the road home (sic!), we were caught in congested free-
way traffic, so we had time to hear the songs again. I
rewound the tape, and the intro AGAIN startled her, as it
was only the second time she'd heard the song.

Besides Vg, I added The Oldest Story In The
World, Fallen Ones, Down The Nile & Make Me.

I think FMMom will enjoy the remaining tracks: Things,
No Other Love, Led To One, Hello Moonglow, Lost Angel
& the acoustic Fallen Ones & How Deep It Goes. I may
have to give her fair warning before "I'm Fine" begins.

She preferred other tracks like "Perfect Goodbye" and
"I Need The Rain," but she'll NEVER forget that Vg intro!

As a postscript to this message, we've been invited to a
Christmas party where kareoke will be involved, so we'll
probably do a Heart song. Here's to hoping we'll be OK. :-)

Don't know which song, but I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

LATAH From Stranger And Still...
