Hi Denzil,

You are right. This person is WAYYYYY off on his
"interpretation" of why the original release of
Magazine was pulled. The contract dispute is pretty
much common knowledge by now (it was even mentioned on
VH-1's "Behind The Music" episode).

I do remember reading an article shortly after the
"official" version was released, where Ann mentioned
the first release had "embarrassing vocals". IMHO, I
prefer the vocals from the original release. There
seemed to be more energy, more inspiration there.
Compared to the "official" release, it seemed like
they were just going through the motions in order to
please Mushroom. It is my hope that when Heart finally
gets around to releasing a Box Set, that they will
include some of the original "Magazine" recordings.
Probably won't happen though, due to legal issues. But
I still have my vinyl recording, and someone will have
to pry it out of my cold, dead hands before I let it
go! <g>
