Vik - I assume this is about selling your Heart collection and making
sure it goes to those who will appreciate it.  I think that's great. I
did a similar thing with my Heart collection (as you well know) a few
years ago.  It felt good.  

I don't hate the band or anything like that, either.   I still have
all my Heart CDs (well, with the exception of Brigade) and so
forth.....

I think that those who want to spend money to join a fan club, hey,
that's your perogative.  Maybe $30 isn't a big deal.  At the same
time, there are fewer and fewer bands that I'm interested in driving
for hours or travelling for hours to see.  Especially when a venue
doesn't have decent seats (to sit in).  

Getting out of debt is very important.  Having been in debt and gotten
out, I applaud your efforts.  You'll sleep better at night.
