I am copying my post for those to read who don't go over to the BBS

Back in 1984 I had the pleasure of talking with Lou Wilson over the phone. She was such a nice woman with a sweet voice. We were discussing some changes that was happening with the fan club at the time (They where in the process of changing mgmt from Albatross to Frontline). She told me the reason for the change as well as plans for Heart's future. We talked for over an hour that first time. I was simply amazed at what a casual conversation it was--it was like I had known here for a very long time. I then told here that I was going to be coming to Seattle for a job interview in the spring of 1985. And you will NEVER believe her reply..."If you are ever here in Seattle, please call me. I'd love to have you come over to the house for lunch." Needless to say I was just simply floored! You can bet that an invite with a rockstar's parent would be totally unheard of in this day and age, but that was things were very different. So I took Lou up on her offer and came to the house where she and John lived in Kirkland. She greeted me with such kindness. I gave here a record of Mozart piano concertos (as I had read in interviews that she was a pianist). Lou then introduced me to John, Lynn, and Nancy. Afterwards we sat on their back porch facing Lake Washington. The HEART record was going to be released that next week, and Lou was pretty excited about it, telling me the song titles and about the cover shoot for the LP as well. It was just a very friendly visit and she was such a good host....even offering me some local Seattle beer.

As the years passed we would still continue our phone chats and occasional letter exchanges. It was always nice hearing what she had to say. I recall back in 1995, a few days before the Rock Hall was opening here in Cleveland. I was at work and came home to find a message on my machine from Lou. She had called to let me know that Ann and Nancy had just been added to the concert for the opening of the Rock Hall ( I Still have here message by the way). And she ended her message by telling how very lucky I was to have the Rock Hall here in my area.
I think that any of the Heart fans who ever had the pleasure of talking with Lou Wilson were really the lucky ones though!!!

God Bless you Lou!!!
